Paada Soundarya | The Foot Ritual
A complete sequence designed to bring the feet back to comfort and balance.
Step 1: Soften Foot Soak
In Ayurveda, the feet are considered one of the most important areas of the body. The practice of Padābhyanga — the ritual care and oiling of the feet — has been part of traditional self-care for centuries, valued for its ability to soften the skin and support the body's natural rhythms.
The Soften Foot Soak is the first step in the Paada Soundarya ritual. A warm foot soak opens and softens the skin, allowing the herbs and oils that follow to absorb more deeply. This preparation combines mineral salts with traditional Ayurvedic botanicals: Triphala for its cleansing properties, Neem for its purifying qualities, and Vetiver and Sandalwood for their grounding, aromatic qualities.
Dried rose petals complete the soak, turning a simple evening routine into an intentional ritual.

How To Use
Add 2–3 tablespoons to a basin of warm water. Soak feet for 15–20 minutes. Pat dry. Follow with Purify Foot Mask or Nourish Navel & Foot Ghee.

Step 2: Purify Foot Mask
After softening the skin with the Soften Foot Soak, the feet are ready for a deeper purifying step. The Purify Foot Mask draws on the Ayurvedic tradition of using mineral-rich clays and botanical powders to cleanse, condition, and refine the skin.
Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth) forms the base of this mask, drawing out impurities while conditioning the skin. It is combined with a carefully selected array of Ayurvedic botanicals: Manjistha for its skin-conditioning properties, Anantmool and Licorice for soothing, Red Rice as a gentle exfoliant, and Sandalwood and Vetiver for their grounding, aromatic qualities.
Kasturi Manjal is a traditional Ayurvedic skin care ingredient. It uses wild turmeric, distinct from culinary turmeric and may temporarily tint the skin a gentle golden tone. This is completely normal and fades quickly.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder completes the formula, bringing humectant properties that help the mask feel conditioning rather than drying as it works.
The result is a mask that purifies and conditions in a single step, leaving the feet feeling smooth, soft, and prepared for the nourishing steps that follow.

Step 3: Nourish Navel & Foot Ghee
नाभिः सर्वसिरामूलं
Nābhiḥ sarva-sirā-mūlam
"The navel is the root of all channels in the body."
— Sushruta Samhita, Sharira Sthana
In many traditional households across India, a small amount of oil or ghee was applied to the navel as part of an evening self-care practice. In Ayurveda, the navel (nabhi) is described as an important junction within the body. The practice of Padābhyanga, oiling the soles of the feet, is traditionally recommended to help soften the skin and support relaxation before sleep.
Nourish Navel & Foot Ghee draws inspiration from both of these practices, bringing them together into a single evening ritual.
This preparation is crafted using traditional Sneha Kalpana — a classical Ayurvedic method of slowly infusing medicinal herbs into a lipid base over time. Cow ghee is gently infused with Yashtimadhu (licorice), Triphala, Chandana (sandalwood), Uśīra (vetiver), and Ela (cardamom). The base ghee is then gently charged with pure 24k gold according to traditional Ayurvedic concepts.
The result is a smooth, aromatic ghee that sits at the heart of the Paada Soundarya ritual, nourishing the skin deeply after the cleansing and purifying steps that precede it.
Ingredients
Organic Grassfed Gold-Charged Ghee (Clarified Butter), Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root, Organic Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Fruit, Organic Terminalia Bellirica (Bibhitaki) Fruit, Organic Terminalia Chebula (Haritaki) Fruit, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Wood, Organic Chrysopogon Zizanioides (Vetiver) Root, Organic Elettaria Cardamomum (Cardamom) Seed.
How To Use
Massage half a pea-sized amount in the navel. Then, massage a small amount into the soles of the feet using your hands or a kansa wand, focusing on the heels, arches, and balls of the feet.
Care & Safety
Ghee may make feet slippery. Allow to absorb before walking. Best used in the evening before sleep. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep away from children. For external use only.

Step 4: Kansa Massage Wand
Rooted in traditional Ayurvedic practice, the kansa wand is a handcrafted bronze tool used for gentle massage of the feet. The soles contain a dense network of nerve endings, making them especially responsive to touch. When used with slow, rhythmic pressure, foot massage can support relaxation, promote a sense of calm, and help the body unwind after daily activity.
The kansa alloy, a blend of copper and tin, offers a naturally smooth, weight-balanced surface that glides easily across the skin. Its thermal conductivity allows it to feel cool at first and gradually warm with use, enhancing the sensory experience of massage.
- Supports relaxation and stress relief
- Helps ease feelings of tension in the feet
- Enhances circulation through massage
- Encourages a calming end-of-day ritual

Step 5: Restore Foot Cream
After the skin has been softened, purified, and nourished in the earlier steps of the Paada Soundarya ritual, the Restore Foot Cream seals everything in.
This preparation is built on a base of Navel & Foot Ghee, the same herbal ghee crafted using traditional Sneha Kalpana that sits at the heart of the ritual. Combined with Gold-Charged Ghee, plant-derived Squalane, Kokum Butter, Sal Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Beeswax, the cream forms a protective, conditioning layer over the skin.
Kokum Butter and Sal Butter are both deeply nourishing plant butters with a long history of use in traditional Indian skin care. Together with Beeswax they create a rich but non-greasy texture that conditions dry, rough, and cracked skin, particularly on the heels and soles, without feeling heavy.
Sunflower Lecithin acts as a natural emulsifier, helping the cream absorb smoothly and evenly. Vitamin E provides antioxidant support to help maintain the integrity of the formula.
Suitable for heels, elbows, hands, cuticles, and any area prone to dryness. Use after the Navel & Foot Ghee to lock in moisture and support the skin overnight.
