All orders are shipped from New Jersey, USA. Shipping rates depend on your location, order subtotal, and carrier selection. You will be given all applicable options at checkout.

2. Handling Time

Orders are processed, shipped, and delivered on business days: Monday through Thursday (excluding weekends and major holidays).
Please allow 2–4 business days for processing, depending on product availability and order volume. For example, orders placed Thursday after 12 PM may not ship until the following Wednesday morning.
How Handling Time is Calculated
The first business day is determined based on when your order is placed. All times are Eastern Standard Time (EST):

About Tracking Numbers
We generate a tracking number when we begin preparing (packing) your order. This does NOT mean your order has shipped yet. It means we have printed your label and are preparing it to be shipped. Please use the tracking link provided in your confirmation email to monitor your package's progress.
4. International Orders
If a package is refused by your country's customs department and returned to us, the original shipping cost will be non-refundable.
Please be aware that international shipments may experience delays due to customs processing, inspections, or local postal service conditions beyond our control.
5. Shipping to Canada
🇨🇦 Duties & Taxes
International orders to Canada may attract additional customs duties, taxes, and fees upon entry. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. Canada will not release your package without payment of applicable duties and taxes.
If Your Package is Returned
If your package is refused by Canadian customs or returned for any other reason, the original shipping cost will be non-refundable.
Delivery Time
We do not guarantee a timetable for delivery to Canada. Since we are located in New Jersey, delivery is usually within 1–2 weeks. However, unexpected delays can occur due to customs or carrier conditions.
Shipping Rates to Canada
We use USPS Priority International to ship packages to Canada. We do not control the carrier rates. At checkout, enter your address to see the live USPS rate. We understand shipping to Canada can be expensive — we wish it were cheaper too!
💡 Tip for Canadian Customers Near the Border
Many of our Canadian customers who live near the U.S. border (or plan to cross) have us ship their order to a UPS Store on the U.S. side for pickup. Here's what you need to know:
- UPS Stores generally hold packages for 5 business days before returning to sender.
- You MUST contact the specific UPS Store in advance to let them know what date you plan to pick it up.
- UPS Stores are franchises, so each location may have slightly different policies. Some may hold packages longer than 5 days if you ask.
This has been a great cost-saving option for many of our Canadian customers!
6. How Shipping Cost is Calculated
Our carriers have implemented increased rates due to high fuel costs. Shipping charges are based on both weight and distance. All orders ship from New Jersey, USA.
We do not profit on shipping. In most cases, we don't even fully cover our shipping and packaging costs.
We carefully package each box using recycled and biodegradable packaging materials (whenever possible) to prevent breakage for these handcrafted products.
Unlike many other online retailers, we cannot offer free shipping at lower thresholds. Many retailers cover shipping costs by charging more for their products. Instead, we provide our products at the best possible price and offer reasonable shipping options calculated in real time for your review at checkout.
Flat rate and free shipping are based on your order subtotal after all applicable discounts have been applied.
7. My Package Didn't Arrive
When we ship a package, we send an email with tracking information. When the package is marked as delivered by the carrier, we send another notification email.
We have no way of knowing that you didn't receive your package unless you contact us. Please use your tracking link first to verify the delivery status.
To report a missing package, please contact us at support@pureindianfoods.com with your order number and tracking details.
8. My Package is Delayed
Please plan for up to 10 business days from the date of your order for your package to be delivered. While we always feel bad when your package is delayed, circumstances with carriers that are beyond our control can cause delays. During the holiday season, delays are normal and to be expected.
Please keep in mind: We are NOT USPS or UPS. Once we pass your package to the carrier of your choice and it leaves our warehouse, we cannot control the delivery time.
Before contacting us, please check your tracking number and contact the carrier directly for a faster response regarding the location and status of your package:

9. My Package Arrived Damaged
Please contact us at support@pureindianfoods.com with your order number and photographs of the damaged package and products. We will arrange a replacement shipment as quickly as possible.
10. My Order Was Returned to You
Returned Due to Damage
If your package is returned to us by the carrier due to damage in transit, we will reship it at no additional cost to you.
Returned Due to Incorrect Address or Delivery Issues
If your shipped package is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address, unclaimed delivery, or other issues regarding your delivery location, you have two options:

| Option 2 | Pay the shipping cost again to reship the package to a corrected address. |
11. USPS Carrier Information
Late Mail?
If your USPS package is late, please contact your local Post Office first. They should be able to address most of your concerns. If you need additional assistance, email USPS with as much detail as possible and they will respond within 24 hours.
Flat Rate Shipping
Flat rate shipping is based on box size, not weight. Estimated delivery is 3–5 business days (or longer depending on delays; not guaranteed). Flat rate delivers to mailboxes, mail slots, PO Boxes™, APO, and FPO addresses. We offer this option to help our customers save on shipping costs.
While preparing your order, if we find that the products you purchased will not safely fit in the selected Flat Rate Box, we will contact you to discuss alternative shipping options.

Please refer to the USPS website to estimate transit time from our zip code 08016 to your location. Please note that delivery times are estimated and do not guarantee delivery by a specific date.
