Tamarind Ginger Fizz

This Tamarind Ginger Fizz is a refreshing. alcohol-free balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors perfect for a unique twist on a classic spritz. The organic tamarind paste brings a rich, tart depth, while fresh jaggery adds warmth and sweetness. Topped with bubbly ginger beer, it’s a lively, thirst-quenching drink that’s both invigorating and full of character.

Ingredients:

SYRUP
1 cup filtered water
1/2 cup Organic Jaggery* (grated) or 3/4 cup sugar
3 TBSP Organic Darjeeling Black Tea*
1 TBSP Organic Tamarind Paste*

FIZZ
1/3 cup tamarind syrup
12 oz ginger beer

Instructions:

TAMARIND SYRUP
1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Add jaggery or sugar, stir, and cook 1-2 minutes or until dissolved.
3. Remove from heat, and add tea.
4. Strain the tea leaves, and whisk the tamarind paste into the liquid.
5. Cool, and store in the fridge for up to 60 days.

FIZZ
6. To make the tea, pour 1/3 cup of syrup into a tall glass. Add ice. Then ginger beer or seltzer water over everything, and gently stir with a straw.
7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lime, and/or candied ginger.
