Refreshing Tamarind Tea

This Refreshing Tamarind Tea is a tangy-sweet drink that combines the bold flavor of tamarind with the gentle warmth of ginger. Naturally sweetened with jaggery, honey, or brown sugar, it strikes a perfect balance of zest and comfort. Finished with a splash of lemon and a hint of fresh mint, it’s a cooling beverage you’ll want to sip all year round.

Ingredients:

4 cups filtered water
1/8 cup Organic Jaggery* (grated) or 1/4 cup of light brown sugar or 1/8 cup honey
1 tsp Organic Ginger Powder*
2 TBSP Organic Tamarind Paste*
2 TBSP lemon juice or lime juice
mint leaves to garnish

Instructions:

1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Remove from heat, then add jaggery, ginger, and tamarind paste and whisk well.
3. Cool for 5 minutes, then add lemon juice.
4. Strain through a coffee filter into a pitcher, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
5. Serve chilled with fresh mint leaves.
