This comforting Yellow Dal is a nourishing, homestyle lentil dish simmered to perfection with caramelized onions and juicy fresh tomatoes. Ingredients:

200 g yellow lentils (toor dal or moong dal), cooked
200 g tomato, chopped
100 g onion, chopped
20 g Organic Grassfed Ghee* or oil
5 g Organic Cumin Seeds*
3 g Organic Mustard Seeds*
3 g Organic High-Curcumin Turmeric Powder*
3 g Organic Kashmiri Red Chili Powder*
5 g Organic Coriander Powder*
3 g Organic Garam Masala*
Salt to taste
600 ml water

Instructions:

1. Wash lentils and cook until soft.
2. Heat ghee, add cumin and mustard seeds until they pop.
3. Add onion, then tomato, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
4. Stir in cooked lentils. Simmer 5 minutes.
5. Finish with garam masala.
